Is it a reprint?

Overworked, overstimulated and utterly exhausted. That has been my modus operandi since returning from Viable Paradise. I spoke at SQL Saturday 21 in Orlando Florida last weekend. Haven’t had a chance to post my Powerpoint presentations yet, for which I sincerely apologize. I will this week. Promise.

Between work and speaking and networking and Schtuff (with a capital "S"), I managed to re-write one of my previous published stories, "The Monster of Mogahnee Bay." The title is the same, the story is the same, but I fixed it using techniques I learned at VP XIII in preparation for selling electronic rights. So the question is, if you rework a tale that’s already been published without significantly changing the story, does it count as a new story?

Probably not. If I try to sell it to another print publication, it’ll probably be considered a reprint even though the exact text isn’t the same. But if anyone has definite information on the subject, I’d greatly appreciate it. I’m told my rewrite makes the story even scarier than it used to be, so I have high hopes for reselling it in other venues.

Time to workshop. Will chat later. Thanks for reading.
