There's a song for this

I learned it in summer camp. "Nobody likes me, everybody hates me, I’m gonna go eat wo-oo-orms." Anyone know that one?

It comes to mind because I got yet another rejection on a short story of mine, the fourth one to date. Of course, 4 isn’t that high a number and I’ve still got plenty of markets to try for it. But it does kind of make me whimper. Still, as they say, if you never try, you’ll never get rejected.

But you’ll also never get published.

Yes, it really is a double-edged sword. But here’s a thought. Everything I write, whether rejected or not, helps me improve my skills. So, here I go, back to the keyboard.

I just hope my fingers don’t fall off. @=)
