I just sent off "Silk and Steam" for submission to the Best of Science Fiction and Fantasy anthology collection, with my editor’s blessing. I’m planning to send my horror story "Feast of the Torn" off to Buzzy Magazine as soon as I figure out if I have to address my query letter to "Dear Submissions Editor" or if someone knows a name I can put on the query letter. And I’m thinking of sending off "Just My Luck," my second published story, to a different reprint anthology.
I’m debating on whether or not I want to submit "The Monster of Mogahnee Bay" to PseudoPod. The payment is little more than a token payment, so I’m still on the fence about it. I want to get my name out there, but I’m not sure if the price is right.
Regardless, it seems I’m suddenly submitting again. Though this is all work that’s already been done.
Now I just have to finish the two WIPs I currently have in the pipeline. The second draft of Circle of Fire and the mysterious memoir I’ve mentioned before. Research is so much fun.

Not quite a token payment – depending on what it is, $100’s about two cents a word, which isn’t great but it’s respectable. And you get a pretty big audience, honestly. I like it.
Thanks for the comment, Ferrett. I didn’t realize the audience was so large. That may alter my thinking.
And thanks for the good wishes.
Why not Pseudopod
I love Escape Pod and Pseudopod too. They are great podcasts with a lot of respect and decent followings. I look everywhere for SF podcasts, and I’ve never found one as good as Escape Pod. I hope you submit and that I will get to hear your story. It’s a completely different experience than reading.
