Have you ever wondered how authors get those gigs to novelize movies and television shows?

Ever wonder how it started?

Ever wonder how you can get into this business?

Media Tie-In writing is perhaps one of the most misunderstood areas of writing in existence. Some people think media tie-in authors hardly work when they put together a movie novel or that, somehow, writing novelizations makes a person less of a writer than an author who publishes original work. Many people just don’t know what media tie-in writing is.

The International Association of Media Tie-In Writers has published our first ever book on the subject. “TIED IN: The Business, History and Craft of Media Tie-In Writing,” edited by Lee Goldberg (author of the MONK book series and several other media properties.

Authors include Alina Adams, Jeff Ayers, Donald Bain, Burl Barer, Raymond Benson, Max Allan Collins, Greg Cox, William C. Dietz, Tod Goldberg, Robert Greenberger, Nancy Holder, Paul Kupperberg, Jeff Mariotte, Elizabeth Massie, William Rabkin, Aaron Rosenberg, David Spencer, and Brandie Tarvin.

The book is currently available in eFormat on Amazon and Smashwords, soon to be available at iBookstore and Barnes & Noble. A print copy should be available thru Amazon in a couple of weeks.

If you ever wanted to know what all the fuss was about, this is the book for you.
