There are lots of comics out on the web, but for the average Database Administrator, there is only ONE TRUE VERSION of the truth. Larry Gonick does a comic called Raw Materials for SQLServerCentral.com. You do have to be a registered member of the forums to see the comic, but it is absolutely brilliant.
If you are a DBA and haven’t registered for SSC.com, I advise you do so. And not just for the comic, either. The forums are a great place to get and give advice on solving everyday problems. And the articles are killer. (Full Disclosure: I occasionally write some of these articles).
Today’s comic on monitoring databases for intrusions and hacks was particularly inspired. There really IS a difference between monitoring and reporting. Honest.
